Women represent 50% of middle management and professional position, but the percentages of women at the top of organisations represent not even a third of that number. 


She made a example, Tonya who was a vice president in Fortune 50 company. No matter how great she thought she was, she was being passed over in an international assignment. 


The speaker believed that there is a missing 33% of the career success equation for women, and it’s understanding what this missing 33% is that’s required to close the gender gap at the top. 


In order to move up in organisation, you have to be know for your leadership skills, and this would apply to any of us, women or men. It measn that you have to be recognised for using the greatness in you to achieve and sustain extraordinary outcomes by engaging the greatness in others. It means you have to use your skills and talents and abilities to help the organisation achieve its strategic financial goals and do that by working effectively with others inside of the organisation and outside.
