Chap. 12 is one of the best chapters in the book.  The witch’s arguments reflect the ideas of Sigmund Freud (1856-1939), the famous psychiatrist. Freud was an atheist and like the witch, he argued that our most deep-seated wishes about God and heaven are “illusions”—false beliefs.  C.S. Lewis (1898-1963)  pointed out weaknesses and fallacies in Freud.  

Lewis also pointed out that sinners have a deep-seated wish to get away from God, and to be left alone.  In that way, Lewis argued, atheism may be even more of a wish-fulfillment than belief in God.  Lewis argued that healthy desires usually point to real things which exist (like an appetite for food).  How does Puddleglum overcome the witch’s arguments here?

He said he won’t deny any of what things that the witch said .But he will firmly believe the sun 、the lion and the overworld is true.In the Chinese that meaning 我无法改变你的想法，但是我坚持我的观点。

这一章的内容确实有点意思啊，我不知道用更专业的话怎么说，就说说我自己看完之后的理解，有点诡辩论的感觉，不去管宗教不宗教的。女巫的做法就是混淆王子还有孩子们的想法。

在借助了特殊气味，然后特殊声音，让人产生迷惑感，让人处于一种中了迷香的感觉，昏昏欲睡，然后就会顺着女巫的说法而去做回答。

女巫的引导十分的有意思，她并没有去反驳王子、孩子们的想法，只是站在一个只关注自己世界的一个角度，当他们说出太阳、狮子，她会反问，什么是太阳，太阳是什么样的，什么是狮子，狮子是什么样的。

放在现实生活中，如果你要向别人做解释，介绍一种对方都没有见过，或者说没有印象的东西的时候，我们会借助我们都见过，或者眼前就能够拿来做形容、具体修饰的东西，所以他们会解释太阳就是类似于台灯，能够带来光、能够带来温度，解释狮子是比猫更大的一个动物。

但是如果按照这个逻辑，我只相信我眼睛所看到的即为真实，我没有看到的都是虚无，不存在的这个角度出发的话，那么我的世界就是整个世界，在我的世界以外的一切都是虚无。

而女巫正是利用了这一点，她诱导王子和孩子们，让他们在一种迷幻的感觉中无法形容太阳是什么，外面的世界是什么，纳尼亚到底在哪里，当然很多东西并没有办法形容的十分具体，而且女巫笃定自己不知道什么是太阳，没有见过，那么再多的形容都是无用的。

所以王子和孩子们就会产生疑惑，顺着女巫的话就说出了没有另一个世界，没有太阳、没有外面的世界，没有纳尼亚，这一切都是做梦，还好还有一个人有那么一丝的意识尚存。
